🌿Rainforest Discovery Centre (RDC) – Where Nature Inspires Learning

The Rainforest Discovery Centre (RDC) began as a small, cozy environmental education (EE) facility in 1996. Today, it is one of Sabah’s leading EE centres, attracting thousands of students, teachers, and nature enthusiasts every year. Located within the Sepilok forest, which is also home to the famous Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, the RDC is fully managed by the Sabah Forestry Department.

🎓 Our Purpose

RDC’s main goal is to serve as an educational hub for students and teachers, it is also open to the public daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

If you visit on a weekend, you’re likely to see school children exploring the Exhibition Hall, Plant Discovery Garden, and nature trails, guided by our friendly and knowledgeable education staff.
